Helen and Wellington Lester were teachers at HCS through much of their adult life. They provided a moral compass and common sense to the class of 1964, and all their students. Mrs. Lester taught Math. Mr. Lester taught Science, and was also a principal at HCS. They not only provided advice but also dipped deeply into their own pockets to send students on to college. They gave freely to charities and students throughout their lives. This award is proudly given by the Class Of 1964 in their honor. |
